The Vision for HIVE

As a middle school teacher, Sean Blackwell founded HIVE out of necessity and empathy. He saw a desperate need for a platform where students could safely learn the ropes of digital citizenship. Guided by the philosophy that technology should always enhance human instruction—never hinder or replace it—Sean took it upon himself to learn software development, marketing, and business to get HIVE off the ground. He’s driven by a genuine passion to make online spaces safer for this generation and the next. Sean is a lifelong learner who is constantly picking up new skills and hobbies, backed by a family that supports his drive to make the digital world a better place.
